This page explains the limited information used when you visit JPLaurin.ca, use its real estate listing search or send a seller inquiry.
Information processed automatically
Like most websites, the server may record technical request information such as your IP address, time, requested page, referring page, browser and device type. This information supports security, troubleshooting and reliable delivery of the website.
Local preferences
When you dismiss the Terms of Use notice, the website records the current notice version in your browser’s local storage so it does not appear on every visit. This preference contains no name or contact information and is not sent with web requests.
The seller form uses a secure, HTTP-only, strictly necessary anti-forgery cookie and a signed form-start time. They contain random, time and cryptographic values rather than your name, contact information or property details, and expire after approximately two hours.
Listing analytics
CREA requires DDF® websites to record listing views and related listing actions. The website creates a random browser identifier in local storage and sends CREA the listing identifier, DDF® destination identifier, event type, random identifier, IP address, referring URL and language. CREA uses this information to report listing activity and protect its services. Review CREA’s privacy information for its practices.
Searches and direct contact
Listing filters may appear in the page address so you can keep or share your search. Search terms are processed against the site’s private listing cache. The site does not sell search information.
Telephone and email links open your phone or email application. If you contact J.P. Laurin, the information you choose to provide will be used to respond to your inquiry and provide requested real estate services.
Seller inquiry form
If you submit the seller form, the website processes your name, the email address and/or telephone number you provide, contact preference, property type, general address or neighbourhood, approximate timeline, optional message and consent. This information is queued for email delivery to J.P. Laurin at COLDWELL BANKER SARAZEN REALTY, BROKERAGE so the inquiry can be answered using your selected contact method.
The submitted contact and property information is not saved in the website’s database or included in website analytics. It will exist in the resulting email and may be temporarily processed by the site’s mail system during delivery. J.P. and the brokerage may retain inquiry correspondence as reasonably necessary to respond, provide requested services, maintain business records and meet legal or regulatory obligations.
Security and retention
Feed credentials, access tokens and the listing cache are kept outside the public website. Search access is rate-limited and raw feed data is not publicly exposed. Technical logs and security records are retained only as reasonably necessary for operations, legal obligations and abuse prevention.
To limit seller-form abuse, the server uses your network address transiently to create a keyed, one-way pseudonymous identifier. Only that identifier, a time window and an attempt count are stored in the private rate-limit database; the raw network address and form contents are not stored there. Rate-limit records expire after their applicable window, no later than 24 hours, and expired records are deleted during subsequent form activity.
External services
Property photos and brokerage branding may load from CREA’s content network. Links to REALTOR.ca and other external websites are governed by those websites’ privacy policies.

You can clear the terms-notice preference, random local-storage identifier and seller-form protection cookie through your browser.
